Aurora Leonard: a portfolio a filmmaker can run without admin

Built a self-sorting portfolio for a filmmaker. She uploads a clip once and it files itself, so her newest work is always up front without any admin.

The challenge

  • Show the work, and nothing else.
  • Let her run it without a designer.
  • Keep the newest work up front.

What I built

Upload once, sorted automatically.

She uploads a clip once; AI tags who appears in it and sorts it into film, television, theatre or commercial.

A grid producers can filter.

The portfolio filters by those categories, so a producer looking for commercials sees commercials first.

No manual tagging.

The AI picks out who’s in each clip and the category it belongs in, so she never fills either in by hand.

The result

Her newest work is always up front, and keeping the portfolio current takes one upload instead of an afternoon of admin.

Who built it

I’m Ezzat Abdelrazek, a web designer and developer based in Cairo. I sit on the Awwwards jury, I’m in Toptal’s designer network, and I work on every project myself, from the first call to launch. On Aurora’s site, that meant designing the portfolio and the system that sorts it.
